About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Experience international life in Europe

ABOUT ME

I am very relaxed most of the time. When results and accuracy matter, such as in the case of the logistics of overseas travel, I am all business. Other than that, as a friend I met at a hostel in LA put it, I always appear to be in chill mode. I love wearing flip-flops or as the Brits call them: thongs, shorts, listening to all kinds of music, writing music, playing guitar, and singing. I am sort of like a sleeper cell. When there is nothing to do, I am all games and may even appear fatigued at times, but as soon as the call of duty arrives, I simply flip a switch and Voila I am dancing like no one is watching.
In the past few years, I have moved quite a bit. I returned to the states in June of 2010 and stayed in NYC for three months. Then it was on to LA to record three demo tracks followed by a stint in the Peninsula near Stanford working and learning how to drive stick shift via a free 1990 VW Golf from a friend. After the car broke down in between Stanford and LA, I borrowed another friends car to get my things out of the nonfunctional car and then I settled in SF for six months. There I stayed on various friends couches and in various hostels. I partied a lot and worked a lot-three jobs to be exact. In April home came a knockin on my door and though the bed was rockin, I had to answer. I returned to NYC to handle family issues and I stayed with my dad for almost 2 months. This was an adventure to say the least. During this time, I began surfing helpx.net and I found few working holidays in Germany, so after 2 months in NYC and at my new job, I bought a one way ticket to Germany, packed my bag, quit my job and ended up in Dusseldorf airport. Ganz Toll!

PHILOSOPHY

Seeking balance in life is a constant effort and that you can sleep when you're dead.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I plan to participate by bringing along my experiences and my culture. I don't currently have a flat to host, but in September or October I will. In August, I am subleasing my friends place, so it won't be my decision.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted twice.

Interests

listening to music, playing music, writing music, sports of all kinds, exercising, social dynamics (ie people), creating new business models, improving existing systems, art, traveling, flying, driving fast (yay autobahn), hanging out, sitting in the sun with a cold one.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can never remember this stuff. There is just too much to list. I like a lot of things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing that I have ever done was realize that the only restrictions that one has on him/her is the restrictions that he/she places on himself/herself. After all, the human brain is capable of storing more than one thousand volumes of encyclopedias. We just can't access it all at once...yet. ;-)

Teach, Learn, Share

See Above and anyone that has a talent that I don't have such as playing a ball game only with their feet, knees, and head. I have the worst soccer skills imaginable.
