About Me

2021 Update:
Still having the same job :)
Restarted traveling: Slowly getting back on travels from time to time. And trying to get back to CS as well :)
Restarting hosting in Jan 2022 (in Krakow)

2020 Update :)

After 4 years traveling and moving around I settled down in Krakow, Poland to work for one of the greatest corporations (Uber). No, I don't drive :P

I love cats but feel uncomfortable around dogs (get some time to get used to them).

Despite I've been travelling a lot within the Middle East, especially Iran and Iraq, in Jan 2020 I was brave enough to apply for a visitor visa for US... and I got in few mins after one of the nicest visa interviews I had.

Since I moved back to Europe, I'm trying to travel around on my free time so probably I'll hop the cheapest Lufthansa flight to a random destination for weekends :D

I've been living in few countries, and I'll tell you a bit of each:
Romania - Transylvania, food, festivals
Turkey - Izmir, Konak, cats, lots of cats, great people
Lebanon - Saida, great food, great people,
Philippines - Manila, crazy city, super nice people, Makati, lots of fun
Mexico - Mérida, Yucatan. Probably the most relaxed people are the Mexicans, and they're truly friendly, tequila, mezcal.

I'm slowly going to any place as much as my visa allow me.

I enjoy music, instrumental music. But i don't play any instrument, yet. :( But I love how the Daf sounds. Street music. I can sit in Taksim, Istanbul, for hours and listen to the city musicians.
Religious and political topics, food and celebrations.
Quiet places (but not mandatory quiet houses :) ).
I love Turkey (maybe even more than my country...) too much.

I hope one day we will bring hope back. Keep hoping because the history is continuously repeating and.. meh. Not.

Mountains, even if I'm not advanced and mostly I'll want a coffee or tea after 200m. But you should see my happy face when finally, I reach the point!

I used to be a student in my hometown, Cluj, Romania. Well, even if my student life was great, I ad a job and a "bright" future I choose to leave anything behind and...leave.

I've been working on my plan for 8 months without to tell anyone. And finally, in July 2016 I quit my job and in September I left.
I donated anything I had in my flat and my clothes and..after years, I left with my backpack. It was the most happiest day of my entire life. I fel so free, so happy... (and a few hours after, so scared at the RO/ BG border being sucked by few thousands mosquitos :)) )

Lebanon: I'm able to host in June.

LGBTIQ+ friendly :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people, understanding their culture, their food, their music. That means to be a traveller, meeting people, not only places.
I can easily get into the local vibe and I'm highly interested in "how to" do things like locals.
