I love to travel and visit microbreweries along the way. My one big goal in life is to visit all the national parks in the united states... you know, before they are plowed down.

ABOUT ME

Growing up in the deep, coastal south has given me a unique perspective on life. I value a good cup of coffee, honesty, college sports, bodies of water, laughter, and firmly believe you can fry any food.

I am a proud mom of a pooch and kitty. They are amazing and keep me entertained on a daily basis. They both love to love and sometimes use their combined cuteness to convince me to give them tasty treats.

I enjoy an array of sports and sporting events. I prefer to play them but I find myself watching a few here and there in person or on television at bars. I play competitive women's ice hockey as well as softball and flag football. I guess it's all really just glorified exercising... Hey, it beats running on a treadmill in a stinky gym, eh?

I really, really, REALLY enjoy good food and microbrews. I don't watch TV shows so please don't ask me about the latest episodes of anything. I also have no earthly idea what is going on in the entertainment world or what big movies are out, so I will not be of any use in those categories if we are on the same quizzo team.

I've hosted a couple of times but have not surfed very much.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed at a farm in rural Pennsylvania. I got to see some animals up close and even get personal with a couple. Fun times! I also have hosted a few folks and enjoyed learning about places I have yet to discover.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like lots of music, but I'm not interested in whiny people with instruments so please don't be upset if I leave the room at the first notes of Ani Difranco songs or the like. Yeah, and almost the entire genre of modern country music makes me feel queasy. Just sayin'

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have raced downhill mountain bikes and won... and lost ...and broken bones. I have pulled some one else's loose tooth. I have gone sky diving and lived. I have seen, caught, and held snakes. I have played as an ice hockey goalie and earned a shut-out. I have done CPR on a dying person. I have rescued a dog.
