ABOUT ME

I like to people; I like working with people and love laughing with people. I like people showing me new things. I like learning from people and seeing what they are passionate about.

I like making things, playing softball, riding my bike, visiting new places, trying new foods, trying new wines, keeping busy, watching sports, camping, taking pictures and eating lasagna and vegetables. I enjoy music and hope to get back into playing music soon. I like being introduced to new music. I like my job, but don't like working as much as I do. In general, I'm laid back and social.

I've recently moved to New York City, after living in the Boston, Mass area for about 6 years. Prior to that, I lived in the Republic of Moldova and taught English for 2 years. Prior to that, I lived in Iowa, a beautiful state. I hope to move abroad again at some point, but in the mean time, I'm really enjoying the area.

I'm happy to show you around town if I have time. I will most certainly be able to guide you in the direction of some good restaurants or rides and attractions.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Someone once contacted me via craigslist and slept on my couch for a couple of days. It was nice I could help her out and I know if I ever went up to Toronto, I'd have a place to stay. It's nice there is a system for it now.

We used couchsuring in Scotland and had a really great time. Now that we're more settled, we able to offer up our place more.

I hiked/trekked part of the Dogon trail in Mali then went to Timbuktu; it was a pretty amazing experience.

I know how to crochet doilies and play the trombone and other instruments; I could teach to anyone who's willing to learn or we can just blast on some horns.
