Overview
About Me
As a Korean-American raised in Japan, I have trouble saying where I'm really from. What I can say, though, is that my diverse background has me craving to learn more about the different cultures out there. Can't thank my parents enough, who taught me to value experiences, not things.
I recently graduated from Northwestern Uni. out in Chicago, IL, where I studied Psychology, Design, and Econ. I'm planning on moving to Taiwan next January to improve my Mandarin. And though I have no idea what I'm going to do with my future, I know that my life has always revolved around new experiences, and the relationships I've built with the people I've met because of it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Part of the main reason I love to travel is to experience the authentic culture, cuisine, and attractions that make each place unique. But most importantly, the relationships and connections I make along the way not only helps me to get a local perspective, but also allows me to make friends from all around the world. And I hope that I can return the favor one day when you're in town, wherever I happen to be!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Summer after my sophomore year for part of a community development program, and I worked with locals to implement extracurricular activities for a small school on the Western Cape of South Africa!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Hopefully good company & conversation - eager to hear about my host's travels and life, and to share some stories of my own! I'm easy-going and adaptable, and I can teach you how to fold a paper crane?
