About Me

STATEMENT FOR VISITING SYRIA AND SYRIAN VISA:

Dear CouchSurfers, Solo travelers, those whom planning to visit Syria,
According to the civil war in Syria, the Syrian Parliament has issued the immigration law ( Law 02 / 2014) in which put very strict requirements for foreigners who want to get Syrian visa and visit the country for security reasons!

CITIZENS OF VISA-FREE SYSTEM FOR NORMAL-TYPE PASSPORTS:
Nationalities whom have exception from getting the Syrian visa are limited to the following citizens if they using their Normal-Type Passports:

Armenian, Iranian, Malaysian, Turkish, Venezuelan, Arabian citizens (Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Mauritania, Morocco, Qatar, Saudi, UAE, Yemen) Exceptions: some citizens of: Iraq, Libya, Tunisia, Palestine.

CITIZENS WHO NEED VISA OR LETTER OF INVITATION:
Actually, the majority of the world nationalities need to have a visa and either an Official Letter of Invitation ( LOI ). there are some obligatory conditions for the applicant to have before applying for visa. bellow are some of these conditions:

1- have no Israeli visa or stamp on his/her passport.
2- have not already crossed to Syria illegally (example: by some area out of Syrian government control ).
3- have no crime record / listed as "wanted" on Interpool regime, or any security problems in his/her country and elsewhere.
4- have not offended or criticized the policy of Syrian government and its symbols and poles.

HOW TO GET LETTER OF INVITATION OR VISA?
most friends from EU / USA / Canada ask me: "How can I get a Syrian visa for tourism in easy way?"
I would answer to this question and explain that, in principle, the Syrian government does not want you to come to Syria at this time of the war for tourism purpose! it keeps trying its best to keep you out of country to protect you NOT to get yourself any offence, or get involved in the war!

- if you are still serious to come visit Syria, then you need to apply at Syrian embassy. although most Syrian embassies in USA / Canada and Europe are suspended to work, but you can still go to the nearest embassy to you. before heading to the embassy, remember that you need to have an Official Letter of Invitation from Syria to apply for visa. if you can not have such official Invitation, then you don't have chance to get the visa. but if you could this Invitation, then your chances are very high to be granted the visa, and sometimes you can go directly to the border without even applying at the embassy (according to the type of your Invitation Letter).

in case you insist on coming to visit Syria, and you really need an assistance, feel free to contact directly by Skype, Telegram or Email to see how can I assist you.
