ABOUT ME

Difficult section. I know myself well enough to guide my actions, understand my thinking and analyse my own pyscology, but to describe myself as if a character in a book still seems like something I will need to practice to do it well. I'm complicated, and I have a difficult past that's pushed me in directions that have been hard for me to even understand. However, I do know who I am, and what I strive to acheive in life. I value honesty, courage, I have aa healthy disrepect of fear and laziness, and I am highly concerned about attaining the highest level of self-awareness that I can reach. I'm intellectual, imaginative, well traveled, and pliable (in the sense of exposure and openmindedness). Some of my past has been a struggle to fit myself into different containers, and to make myself water, influenced and guided by the circumstances of my situations, but I was never happy like that, and I won't be. I am a rock,and I intend to shape the world around me for my comfort, and not accept a situation in which I am not fitting well or uncomfortable. I don't fear change, I welcome it, like a giant block of granit welcomes the chisel of a carefully and knowlegeable scuplter.

PHILOSOPHY

Courage, Dedication, Insight, honesty, and self-awareness. These are the core values that I try to live by. Courage to move beyond fear, open my world to other people, be vulnerable and pliable, and allow things to change. Dedication to working on myself restlessly and in depth. I want to know everything about who I am, and why I make the choices that I do. I want to be integrated, and certain of the things I've decided to pursue. Honesty, above all, is key to respect, both for myself and the people that I interact with. I give the benefit of extended trust and curiosity unless I've gotten signs to change that prespective. I think that true honesty is the only way a person can know and love me, and that their choice to me honest with me is the only way I can learn to love others.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm here to meet people that are outgoing and willing to expose themselves to all the experiences and beauty in life.

I have moved out of my parent's home, and I hope to host as many interesting visitors as I can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't done any anonymous couchsurfing, but I want to, and I'm excited to do so.
I've done lots of sleeping on friend's couchs and floors, and even some kitchen tables. :-) Now I can tack central park to the list, though I know I didn't haul a whole couch in with me.

Intereses

Philosophy is probably my greatest passion, debating, history, theories, science fiction, you name it. I'm currently the president (and founder) of the Philosophy Club of Baruch. I also really enjoy the outdoors, and the perspective and time it allows me to reflect. I love hiking, cycling, sex, reading, movies, coffee, anything physically and mentally stimulating.

Jazz, classical, some indie rock, film scores, some techno. My most recent movie that has made my top ten list of all time is definitly V for Vendetta. The Matrix is also intriguing, as well as LOTR. Sex and Lucia, Donnie Darko, The Fountain, The Prestige, the list goes on and on.

Cliff diving, cycling (including building my own road bike), graduating college in NYC, mountain climbing, motorcycle riding 1800 miles in a weekend, moving into my own apartment, getting up on stage at a broadway play and dancing with Hugh Jackman, calling into question everything

Car engines! body work! Motorcycles and mopeds! Your Taxes! I love ot work on them, fix them, rebuild them and learn about them. I'm also very well read in philosophy and religions, and finance. I can teach you how to start a fire from sticks and stones, break down a metaphysical base for any philosophy and also how to rebuild and clean your computer. There's other stuff too, but I'm at a loss
