About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meet interesting people from every country in the world....and rugby tackle them.
ABOUT ME
If I could spend my life playing rugby and skiing, I would. I am a surprisingly good cook and my dream in life is to become a writer of some sort. I talk lots and hate awkward silences. I drink too much and often. My catchphrase just now (which I shamefully stole from a Katy Perry song...embarassing) is no regrets, just love. You get the most enjoyment from life by expanding your horizons and experiencing as much as you can - nothing should be regretted, just looked upon as another experience.
One thing i've learned about myself recently is that i'll change plans or inconvenience myself greatly if the chance to experience something new and cool is available. Whilst this makes me financially catastrophic and probably highly irrational, it's fun and I wouldn't change it. I love meeting new people, hearing new stories, learning about new cultures and trying new things. The last few years have taught me that regardless where in the world you are or what you're doing, it's the people which make a difference, and by couch surfing, I hope to continue this mindset and keep meeting interesting new friends

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hosted lots, surfed a bit, met up a good few times too.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I first heard of couchsurfing whilst working in Austria, every morning one of the waitresses in the hotel would come in to work with stories about her latest couchsurfers, I was always impressed at how cool a concept it was and how many different natioanlities of people were into it. I first couchsurfed in Pilsen, CZ in a French guys appartment with 3 other friends - he made us very welcome and took us out to see the city and for a few beers - had a great time and it made me realise how worthwhile a thing couchsurfing is!
For a while was trying to run my own free youth hostel from my house in Glasgow which was cool!
Interests
Most things really, i'm frustratingly curious.
I love sport, especially Rugby and Skiing amongst various others, I also love film, music of all genres, literature, cooking, writing, languages and cultures. I love sociallising, whether its going to clubs or just out for a few drinks and some good discussion. I try to take an interest in most things, you never know when a wee bit of knowledge can come in handy.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favourite books are Shantaram, The beach, The Crow Road, Captain Corellis Mandolin, The Life of Pi...etc etc...love all types of music, especially Indie, and im a big fan of independent cinema and foreign film too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Bihac in Bosnia. A tiny city just over the croatian border, but it was the most chilled out, relaxed place i've ever seen. That or Plitvica national park in Croatia, or the Wolfgangsee in Austria.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn to speak more languages - Would love to learn a couple of useful phrases from guests! I also love old kind of folk stories - every country has them and I love to hear them!
