About Me
Hi! I'm Gia, currently a student at Duke University, but studying for a semester in Rabat. *I just made this account, so I know it's lacking references/verification—please feel free to ask me for any info!* I love travel, food and culture specifically, and I find that I have way more access to understanding a place when I interact with people from that place, rather than staying inside of a hotel bubble! I speak English and Spanish fluently (I'm from the States and Panama), but I know some French and am currently studying Darija and Fus'ha. I would love to find people to connect with, even if ultimately the time for hosting isn't right, so please feel free to reach out for connections! The second photo is myself and my friend Emma, we will be the ones traveling to Amsterdam together!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to experience a city rather than visiting it, so Couchsurfing seems perfect for that; I truly respect and admire the hospitality exhibited by stories I've heard. Also, I'm a student, so...we know how it is.
