About Me

It's always hard to talk about yourself, it makes you stop and actually think "who am I?". I am a twentyone-years-old Italian girl. I currently live in Bordeaux for my Erasmus year. Back in Italy I live and study in Verona, the Romeo and Juliet's town, but I come from a tiny village situated in the north-east of Italy. Where I am from tells a lot about myself. I grew up in that little community, where almost everybody knows everybody, breathtaking landscapes all around you. Almost my whole family lives around there and I am very fond of them all. In some ways I always felt the need to fly away. That's why, probably, I developed a big interest in foreign languages and cultures. And that's probably why I joined Couchsurfing in the first place. When I started travelling as a way of life, I found out that I actually love it, but a friend once told me that when you start seeing the world, it's going to be tougher and tougher to accept things how they are at home. And here I am, now. Trying to find out which is the right path to follow. Maybe life means to manage to balance all these things, and I am talking shit, but I am allowed to be confused at this age.
I love to watch movies and to buy books, half of which I'll forget to read. I'd love to be able to play some instruments, and I keep starting to attend lessons, but I'm lazy and I end up giving up. I don't have a good relationship with sports, but I do trek and sometimes even jog. I'd love to go to India. I'm allergic to cats, I love good food and random things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I appreciate both hosting and being hosted, there’s something special in both things. I met amazing people and didn’t have any bad experience, and it helped me to have faith in human kind.
