About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Stop myself exterminating food :D

ABOUT ME

A current update: I moved back to my hometown recently and will stay here until my next hme is determined.

English:
I m Alican, born in Feb 1987 in Adana (Turkey). I have got my bachelor degree at Marmara University, Istanbul. I spent a year at Unv of Bologna, as an Erasmus exchange in 2006-2007 academic year. Later when I was graduated, I applied for a master degree at Unv of Bologna and got admission. Currently enrolled there but doing my field research and mobility period at Unv of Belgrade, Serbia. Oh by the way, I was almost forgetting :D I m a Political Science and International Relations graduate, trying to get area expert title in Balkans, plus writing my thesis on LGBTTQI folks in Serbia.
I believe that it s enough with my professional details. You gotta be curious about my personality which is like a shining star hahahah (kidding*) Well, I gotta admit that I love laughing (I mean LAUGHING) :D But sometimes I get angry and upset, and then I make life miserable for those who upset me. But no worries, it rarely happens 'coz basically I don't give a damn to anybody's soap opera triangles. Intelligent for sure but sometimes I am being as stupid as a fish (hope you don't mind). I use my mimics a lot, do particular faces in certain circumstances (unintendedly my face mirrors out my mind and emotions on something). I am a very good listener, but when I am about to get sick, noone can stop me talking (I don't know why).
I love travelling but I m always stupid about planning something. Plans are not for me, that s why all my travels have been spontaneous and costly. And that s why it took me so long to join this community (CS).
Cooking is my passion. So is eating :D but luckily I dance a lot (basically at home by myself when I can't get out) hihihihih...
I have got many friends but it s never enough (is it?).
I live apart from my family for ages now. I left home when I was 16 years old, to study at unv in Istanbul. And my hometown s 1h 15min away from Istanbul by flight. So I have always been thhe struggling type of guy ;) but I like it this way... It helped me mature myself fast, plus keep my childish features alive.
I was grown up in a house with a big garden and many many cats and kittens. I love animals, especially cats (tho I m afraid of all kinda insects). They are amazing creatures. So if you see me in the street trying to get a kitten out of car's engine part, or trying to charm a cat for hours in order to caress its head for one min, don't get shocked! :D
I also love watching movies. But you gotta be careful with me if we r gonna see a movie together. It shouldn't be a drama or alike, I might get you soaked in my tears. I am telling you, people, I am easily touched and ready to cry.
Here s a few tips for helping u understand my charachter better:
*Zodiac: Pisces / *Ascendant: Gemini
*Chinese Horoscope: Rabbit / Ascendant: Snake
The first time when I saw it was snowing (tho I saw snow on the ground befor ein the mountains) was in 2004 Jan in Istanbul. (It never ever snows nor gets under 8 C in my hometown) Actually I am worried about how I m gonna survive in Belgrade during the winter. We'll see ;)
I love watching the episodes of "Golden Girls" a lot. They make me laugh my ass off hahahah :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Current update: Lying down on the nudiest beach on Ada Ciganlija (Belgrade) with my friend and a guy came behind us and started to masturbate. Great scene but disturbing after a while. But once i answered his question that i am from Turkey, he got lost... Weird! :D

Getting naked in Riccione at night with my Russian, Finnish and Azerbaijani friend and trying to hitchike :D hahahaah (not exactly naked) but It was cold winter and we were topless and penniless :D
Asking a guy if I could have sitten on his laps in London subway (I was just so tired)
Escaping from home at night when I was 15 in order to go to a party (luckily noone noticed, everyone was still sleeping when I was back home)
Getting lost in the Kosutnjak forest in Belgrade at dark night while searching for a concert place (all alone and it was scary)
The thomb of Mussolini in Predappio, the enterance is full of fancy plates from Chambers of Commerce, and political parties and personas in Italy, commemorating the "Duce"... (Scaryyyy!!!) and they sell poison (olio di ricino) in the shops, plus lots of Nazi/fascist symbols
