About Me

Hey guys, My name is Gian and I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I have studied International Studies but I came to the conclusion that life is to take risks, even if it scares you in the beginning. So where am I now? It has been two years since I came to London, not knowing what was going to happen. Of course I had my ups and downs, but I have learnt so much from every single experience. I know, I know, you might say that it is impossible to learn in this short period of time, but I do think a progress has been done (I hope so). Who am I? I am a traveller always looking for new adventures. I am a writer that believes in the power of words. I am a friend which listens and helps. I am so many things, but most of all, I am a learner still in process of fulfilling my dreams. Sometimes we do not need a map to discover the beauty of a city. It is better to get lost, create new stories and be immersed in the different cultures that the world has to offer .

Interests

By now you might have seen that I'm a person that loves to write (which also translates to talk). Therefore, I am a talkative person that would love to learn and share with you. There is always an anecdote for any story. I also love sports. I am an energetic person that needs to be moving AT ALL TIMES. I love running (it is winter now and I can't be bothered but I do miss those days where 10K were nothing to me..) and walking and climbing (hiking mainly). FOOD! Oh my god, food is the best thing to share among countries and I am so glad to have had the chance of doing so lately. I also love to cook (mainly sweets but I can rock a bolognese sauce or homemade burgers) but I am not a good teacher (haha).

Music, Movies, and Books

Music dictates my mood, or maybe the other way round.
Anyway, I have a song for every moment which will make it special (at least to me).
I can listen to everything. NO JOKES.
U2, Aerosmith, Coldplay, Bon Jovi, The Beatles, Imagine Dragons, Bastille, Mumford and Sons, Of Monsters and Men, Lorde, Zedd, Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Robin Schulz, Maroon 5, One Republic, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Adele, Portugal The Man, Chet Faker, Foreign Air, The XX.
EVERYTHING.

As for books, I have read so many but right now I can think of two.
The first book I have ever read is "Tommy, el perro" ('Tommy, the dog'). It is a kid's book (ofc) but the accomplishment of finishing it, is something I still remember. Would I recommend it? I do not know. It is short and silly but I love it so much.
The second book that I have in my mind is "The Book Thief". A couple of days ago I was talking about it with my friend and, even though it is a sad book, there is a lot to learn from the world we live in. We do not have to take life for granted (such a cheesy comment) because many things can happen. As I have told my friend, we need to learn from our past to walk our present and build our future.

Regarding movies, I am not the best person to recommend one. Not because I do not like them, but I normally go for the same ones. Comedies are a must (same for tv shows) although drama and romance might be welcomed. I must also say that I cannot stand horror movies (unless you would like to take me to the hospital lol).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Experiencing my fears. Before moving to London, I was a little bit hesitant whether I have made the right choice or not. Now that two years have passed, I can say that good and bad things happened to me, but most importantly, that they have shaped me to be the person that is now writing this profile.
