About Me

Work, home, work, home, work, home, work, home....

This was pretty much the story of my life.

One day, it occurred to me that I might die like this.

I got depressed, and l lost interest in life for a while.

So I decided to pack my bag and book a flight!

I quit my job, sold all of my belongings, and I plan on spending the year of 2016 traveling around the world.

I wish for this travel to change me. Change me in ways that when I return from traveling, I would be a different person from the one I left before.

I am out going, and easy to get along.
Open-minded about all things.

I cannot wait to meet all of you Couch Surfing hosts!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To learn and to meet people!

Traveling alone has many perks.
I will be free to do the things I want to do, not bound by anyone else's schedules. I get to eat whatever I want, and I would be able to spend as long, or as little time as I want in places.

However, I know that I will be met with loneliness.
I wish to meet people who I could eat with, drink with, share thoughts with, and also to share information with. After all, I believe what matters most about traveling is the people you meet along the way.

Interests

People - Hearing about stories of different people from different backgrounds.

Food - I've been working in restaurant industry for a long time. So naturally, I take a lot of interest in different cuisines.

Nature - I love the humbling feeling I get when witnessing majestic scenery of nature. It's the best feeling.

City - I enjoy going to different cities as much as I enjoy the nature. I find it fascinating that there are always major differences to be found between the many cities, but all people from all over the world have similarities as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - I really like all music except for electronica / EDM.. I enjoy listening to Jazz (Miles Davis, John Coltrane), rock (Incubus, Radiohead) , hiphop (Nas, Jay-Z, Gangstarr, MF Doom), alternative ( Jason Mraz, Jamie Cullum )... are just to name a few.

Movies & Books - Shawshank Redemption. Inside out, American History X, Fight Club, Old Boy, Schindler's List, Big Fish, Dead Poet's Society. City of God, The Little Prince, Perks of Being a Wallflower, Catcher on a Rye, Kitchen Confidential, Go ask Alice .... and many more,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I first Moved to the city of San Francisco, I had never seen so many homeless people on the streets before.

On an extremely windy and cold night, I had gotten off of work late. I was absolutely starving after a busy shift, and only place to get food still open at the time was Mc Donald's. As I walked towards it, I couldn't Ignore the shivering homeless people who were laying on the streets. So I bought about twenty sandwiches and gave them out to all of the people on the streets around the area. It didn't cost much money, but it still remains as one of the best memories and best feelings.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you about all things Korean. The language, culture, politics, and history. just not anything about K-Pop ( I know NOTHING about K-Pop)

I am also a good cook. Although never worked as a professional cook, I was had worked around many professional kitchens, so I have more skills, and knowledge about food and cooking than an average home cook. Especially Japanese cuisine including Sushi, and Korean food.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Japan

Countries I’ve Lived In
