About Me

Hi all! I moved to a house where I cannot host people. I'm sorry!!! (Updated July 2018)
However, I'm up for just meeting or advising about Syracuse, CNY, or Peru. Also, if you want to grab a beer/coffee, or go hiking.

I am an international student at Syracuse University; I'm currently doing my Ph.D. on adapted physical education, trying to enhance physical activity among people with disabilities.

My passion? Taekwon-Do. I'm a 4th black belt degree! I train Mon-Wed-Fri, you are welcome to join for my training or the classes I teach.

Hobbies: Talking to people from other cultures so I can learn about their cooking, reading, exploring new places, and learning new languages

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a host --> I met people thanks to Couchsurfing (CS). I hosted five girls from different countries in my old house. I also hosted several Peruvians (friends, family, and friends of friends). I try to provide a safe and comfortable environment. I like to share Peruvian treats (when I have stock), or cook! Sharing food and culture is one of the benefits of CS.

As a surfer --> I have never stayed with someone through CS. I am looking forward to meeting new people and cultures.

Interests

I like sports, in fact, I'm 4° Dan Taekwon-Do ITF, and I train and teach here in Syracuse.
I'm kinda geek; I love WoW, GoT, and good reading!
I love to dance latin music; if you are up for dancing or want to learn some moves, we can go to one of the best places here.
Did I mention that I LOVE to eat? yes, any food-related experiences... I'm in!

Music, Movies, and Books

Not reading a book for the moment, just articles for my dissertation! the last one I read was in June 2018, The martial art Way, very interesting way of describing how the martial arts have been changing with the years.

Favorite movie --> Jurassic Park/World OMG!! I love dinosaurs

music: love Linkin park, blink 182, Limp Bizkit, Pedro Suarez-Vertis,

GoT! if you don't like Game of Thrones, you won't understand many of my quotes!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

golden medal in Taekwon-Do Southamerican Championship 2012, Legacy Cup 2016.

Survived a whole month living in Cerro de Pasco, -10F without heaters!!!

survived the freaking cold winter in Syracuse, and the heat waves!

Spend new years eve at Niagara Falls, it was mega cold! but was amazing!!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Taekwon-Do, and if you know other martial art would be awesome to interact, you are welcome in my classes. We can play PlayStation if you are more into indoor activities

Also, I can teach Spanish, and how to dance Latin American music! I play a Peruvian pan flute

Cooking! Have you ever had the opportunity to try Peruvian food? I can cook it!
