About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Spending my birthday in a different country each year!

ABOUT ME

Young, friendly guy living and working in Canberra. Enjoy meeting people of all different backgrounds: age, gender, nationality, religion, political opinions.
Grew up in a tiny country town, lived in the big city, now living in a small city.
Love seeing the big picture of world as a series of small, individual, connecting pieces.

PHILOSOPHY

We should welcome the stranger, for in doing so, many have entertained angels in disguise

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Would love to host travellers passing through Canberra. If I can't host, am happy to meet you for a drink, dinner, show you around the city. If you're in town for a weekend and I'm free, am happy to take you to some places a bit out of town (like my home town for example).
If you're lucky I will be heading up to a place my family has on the shores of Lake Macquarie - beautiful! (See pics)
Love food and cooking, so recipe exchange is also a big interest!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hanoi, Vietnam: The city is facing its worst floods in 30 years. My friend and I need to get to the station to catch a train to Sapa in the mountains. The streets are impassable for cars - no taxis are running. In order to make our train on time, the concierge of the hotel we were staying at took both of us, and our luggage on the one tiny, scooter. Zipping through the dark, deserted, slowly flooding streets of the Old Quarter = exhilarating!
