About Me
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Emerson once said, 'I pay the schoolmaster, but 'tis the schoolboys who educate my son'
I couldn't agree more with this. I've taken advantage of everything life's thrown my way so far, and I am absolutely indebted to the amazing people I've met along the way, who've shaped my views about the world, and challenged every preconceived notion I ever had. There will always be room for such people in my life!
Interests
Philosophy, the behavior of bugs, experiencing food and wine, Argentine tango, the violin, and reading reading reading.
EXPERIENCING EVERYTHING LIFE HAS TO OFFER. Whoops, didn't mean to yell.

Music, Movies, and Books
There's something beautiful about both the old and the new.
I love classical fiction as much as I love contemporary fiction!
(Particular favorites would be Russian authors like Turgenev, Dostoyevski, and Tolstoy; German authors like Mann and Goethe; English authors like Woolf and Dickens; French like Dumas fils and Victor Hugo) -- oh God there's too many of them. Contemporary ones like Cormac McCarthy, John Steinbeck, Gabriel Garcia, etc).
For music, anything that makes me want to move! Boogie woogie blues are amazing. Jazz. Dean Martin. Frank Sinatra. Beirut. Paolo Nutini. Anoushka Shankar. Norah Jones. Hozier. The Beatles. Damian Marley. Sufjan Stevens. Michael Buble. So much!
Any movie/art film that makes me think about things differently!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Performed in two national operas (Andrea chenier & Carmen)!
Teach, Learn, Share
I read a shit ton.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A bottle of wine, and I can teach you how to make the creamiest scrambled eggs while discussing Rumi's poetry with you. Hahah!
