About Me

First of all: we are NOT Amsterdam. So in that case...look further 🖒
We moved to a small village close to Leiden.

ABOUT US

I am a primary school teacher from 33 years old. Interested in going out in what ever way. Go to the movies, visit a concert or explore great museums. When I'm home I listen to music, I love all kinds, from popular to the old rock & roll. When I have guests or just meet people I love to sit down with a cup of coffee or a good beer and have conversations about everything in life. Meet people, get to know their cultures etc. I'm married and have a daughter.

I also love to go out with my camera and take some good pictures. Landscapes but also portraits are my favorites.

PHILOSOPHY

I always think that what you give to people is what you receive. That's why I see the world with a smile. I want to keep the humour in my daily life and want to enjoy every single day of it. And I think if we all remember the positive experiences we can enjoy the world better.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to show you around in Leiden and tell you about it's history. The city is really old so it's full of stories. There are so many places to visit and they are all unique. If we have time we can make a boattour through the canals. Because the best view from Leiden is from the water. Leiden is not a city filled with disco's but if you are looking for great cafes and restaurants Leiden is the next heaven!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Travelled to Argentina and met more or less by coincidence with Stef in Buenos Aires. I was already a member of couchsurfing, but he showed me that there is more to explore. Sincethen I travelled a lot, met many couchsurfers, hosteds them so I can say I'm aware of everything that is needed for hosting guests. Sightseeing, social events and great people around. So this is also dedicated to great people I have met: Barbara, Giannis, Stef and Marie.
