About Me
Please read before requesting! I just moved to SF this autumn for work after finishing a history/medieval studies graduate program in Hungary. I love meeting new people and hearing about their lives, but I prefer travellers who approach the city critically and are engaged in the communities they live in and interact with. I love meeting other students, especially of the humanities and social sciences, as well as other LGBTQ+ travellers. If you're planning on spending your time in the city visiting and experiencing the typical touristic spots, I will likely not be your ideal host.
I'm holed up in a 3-storey walkup in Cow Hollow that I share with three other guys, with easy access to downtown, the Marina, and Japantown. I can host casual solo or duo travellers on a twin-sized Ikea futon in my room (ensuite with laundry and dryer), solo preferred. I work a 9-5 but I sleep pretty late. I'm not the most energetic person, but I'm usually down to dance, chat over drinks, wander around the city, and go to museums. I like to work in cafes, so if you're WFH or want to get reading done, I'm also game. If you're the first guest of the month, I'll also probably have a guest pass for the climbing gym— I go thrice a week and you're welcome to join!
Also if you like cider, there's an excellent cider bar on Polk run by a bunch of Turkish expats— I will 100% go drink with you, I love this place

I like urban planning, residential architecture, queer community, languages, climbing, public transportation, discussing class politics, talking about perspective and orientations to society, fashion
