We are Gideon (24) and Jess (23) from Perth Australia.

We have both taken time off after university to travel the world before we start working next year. We are very easy going and up for any kinds of activities that might be recommended.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We love the idea of staying with locals to truely learn about the ins and out of the culture and sites of different areas we stay.

Music, Movies, and Books

We have a huge love of many kinds of music, from dance music (techno,house etc) to reggae and dub, rock and roll from the 70s and English music from the 80s/90s to name a few. We also enjoy watching movies in our down time. , whether they are critically acclaimed or corny Hollywood films. As far as books go Jess likes autobiography’s and Gideon is mostly into fiction (drama and crime) but again we are open to give almost anything a go.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Packing up our lives in Australia and leaving behind our beloved dogs to travel and explore before we commit to our careers in 2024.

Teach, Learn, Share

Unfortunately we are currently only fluent in English however we try our best to learn at least some of the local language whenever we visit, this is often a challenge but we enjoy it a lot.

We are more than happy to help people try to learn English through conversations and stories of our lives and travels.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We have both finished degrees from university Jess is an Occupational Therapist with a keen focus on physical rehabilitation while Gideon majored in Accounting and Finance so if these interest you at all we would be happy to share our knowledge.

We are also keen armature cooks so we would thoroughly enjoy preparing a meal for our hosts and anyone around to share.

Aside from this we have countless stories from our past travels and adventures in Australia.
