When traveling I would much rather stay with locals than in a hotel or hostel. I am not a tourist nor am i on vacation i am simply living life and what better way to get to know a place and its people than to commune with those who are living out their lives there.

the extremely abridged version: I am the Universe experiencing itself, as are you. We truly ARE one. literally. If we look at one another in this light, then the principle of treating others as we want to be treated takes on a whole new, much more literal meaning.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am probably not your average Couchsurfer in that I actually plan to stay in San Francisco, and go to school in the fall. I am a musician collecting disability benefits, and I busk (street perform) to make ends meet.

I'm on the site hoping to make new friends who can offer me places to lay my head while I work on settling in and finding somewhere to move into on a more permanent basis.

I lived in SF in the 90s and still know a few people there but most of them either have families or already have 8 roommates and so I want to keep asking them for a place to crash as a last resort.

I won't need you to do touristy things with me, i've been to Coit tower and the GG bridge; however in the interest of making new friends I'm down to participate in CS events. If you want to go see concerts, open mics (at which i would be playing), go out for a beer and shoot some pool, stream some Netflix, I'd be into all or any of those activities. If you're a musician and you like to jam that's a huge plus. I'm not a huge party animal, cool with 420.

I'll be totally respectful of your space, your time, and your rules, and am willing to help out any way that I can.
