ABOUT ME

I am a twenty-four years old sociologist who is trying to figure out what to do with life after half a year of working in Uganda.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like the concept of networking your travel experiences. When I joined couchsurfing, me and a good friend of mine travelled throughout Eastern-Europe for a month, and surfed our way through quite some cities. I enjoyed it so much; the Couchsurfing community is one of the best on-line communities I ever had the good fortune of being a part of.

Interests

In my spare time (as far as I have any), I enjoy cooking, writing, reading, good conversation and old liquor. I'm always up for light conversation as well as philosophical, political, sociological or any "-cal" conversation.

Music, Movies, and Books

My current project is to see every movie in the IMDB top 250, and I'm slowly getting there; the only movies that remain are those obscure movies from the '50s, '60s and '70s.

Music-wise, my interests diverge into all corners of music: classical music, jazz, rock, blues, folk, some hip-hop and rap (...), and I could go on for a while.

Lastly, books.. There is a very long list of books I still have to read,- the thing about studying is that the majority of books one reads are somehow related to one or anther scientific discipline, so non-fiction is not something I read very often, unfortunately.

I moved to Uganda.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a thing or two about [Social] Psychology, [Theoretical] Sociology, Network Analysis, Art History, Statistics and Philosophy. Also, I can share some of my cooking secrets, - if you ask nicely.
