About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see the veil of bullshit crumble, and real existance emerge. Redistribution of wealth and resources. Health care for everyone.

ABOUT ME

I'm into sticking needles into people and prescribing them strange herbs to aid in their journey to health and well-being. I run a public health acupuncture project focusing on HIV/AIDS and impoversihed communities. I DJ for fun and sometimes for money. Mostly Hip Hop and 80's. Some other eclecticism. I like all sorts of music, but have an affinity for apocalyptic metal ballads.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in Taoism. I like its respect for nature and adherance to its laws. I like that it believes in being soft and flexible instead of hard and rigid. I seem to click with nice open people and have a hard time with arrogant egotistical folk. I like pointing out the irony of life to encourage laughter. Or in other words I can be a sarcastic bastard, but in a funny way. I've always felt there is a better way to exist than the path that our society is on and I'm committed to bring about a positive change. Community is important to me. I like people, but like to spend alot of time on my own too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've had two experiences of CS. I stayed with a wonderful couple in Victoria who became good friends and came and stayed with me in portland, and we all love Metal and bikes and good organic food and I got to hear tons about the politics of Bosnia and Other Balkan nations, and who knew I'd make such good friends on this wacky websight. My 2nd experience was just as good at a famous surf spot with and amazing lady who will be my friend for life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent alot of my youth travelling and crashing on people's couches. I believe that traveling is magic, and it taught me alot more about life than years of school, but I got a little jaded and tired of it at one point and decided to settle down and study, grow and expand myself. Now I feel like if I travel, I want to give something back to the places I go to. I don't want to be another gringo tourist, so I plan to work, learn and participate where ever I go. Luckily I have a skill nearly everyone can benefit from.

Interests

Chinese/Japanese/Tibetan/Ayurvedic medicines. Surfing. Food and Cooking. Anarchism. Alternative paradigms of Existance. Rump Shaking.
