Overview
About Me
Hey, I’m a British-American raised in Los Angeles, California who deeply enjoys immersing herself in new cultures! I've spent the last 5 years living throughout Europe, with 3-4 years in France and now more recently 1 year in the Netherlands for an Erasmus exchange. I really enjoy writing, as well as politics and economics (the two subjects I study). I consider myself fairly laid-back and open-minded and am always down for an interesting conversation and a good meal, as I also love to cook. I’m definitely a big nature lover as well, so I really enjoy spending time outdoors whenever possible :-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I enjoy meeting new people from around the globe! I'm also hoping to strengthen my foreign language skills and learn more about different cultures by meeting locals. Some of my best experiences while traveling have been via CS, so I’m hoping to make many more memories!

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy classic rock, blues, soul, and funk, but I'm always open to discovering new music genres. I'm also a huge fan of films; I recently got a subscription to the streaming platform Mubi, and am really enjoying watching films from all over the world. Recent favorites include "The Worst Person in the World" and "Great Freedom".
Some of my favorite authors include George Orwell, Mark Twain, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, and Albert Camus. I adore classic English Literature, but I'm also into books on politics and current affairs, as well as feminism. My favorite books include 1984, The Glass Castle, Sorcières, Columbine (a dark read), and Frankenstein, among many, many others.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I visited the DMZ between North and South Korea. I also went skydiving in Australia!
Teach, Learn, Share

What I Can Share with Hosts
If you're not a native English speaker, I would be more than happy to help you practice English or teach you more about my language (I also have my TEFL). Otherwise, I can cook a meal, pay for groceries, or perhaps treat you to a drink/a good meal!
