About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My plan is to live forever, so far so good...although I have a feeling that I will die in the attempt.
Graduate from UH, then get my Masters from Rice University while also working and keep saving money for my "Big Trip" around the world.
ABOUT ME
I'm 25 years old. Originally from Monterrey, Mexico. Moved to Houston about 10 years ago. University of Houston Finance Major. Fluent in English and Spanish. I can also understand Portuguese and French, with very basic communication skills ("basic" being a VERY VERY generous term).
I tend to be a very trusting person in many ways. I'm the kind of person that goes to a restaurant, doesn't even open the menu and just asks the waiter or waitress "What do you recommend?" which is always followed by an "OK, let's try that." Even if I have no idea what it is. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, just like everything else in life.
Interests
MUSIC-
Classical when I'm reading, writing, or studying.
House/ Electronic when I'm running or exercising.
READING-
Last four books I read were:
1) Demian by Hermann Hesse.
2) The Nature of Technology by W. Brian Arthur
3) Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
4) Veronika Decides to Die by Paulo Coelho.
And I am currently reading Banker To The Poor by Muhammad Yunus
FOOD-
I love Asian and Middle Eastern food.
SPORTS-
Unlike most people in my home country of Mexico, I do not watch soccer. Unlike most people in the U.S. I don't even understand how football, baseball, or basketball actually work, I have no idea of the rules, teams, much less the players.
The only sport I follow passionately is Formula One (F1). I've stayed up all night just to watch a race "live" on the other side of the world.
TRAVELING-
I haven't traveled as much as I would like, but who has?
Planning on taking an 18 to 24 month-long trip around the world after school to Central America, South America, Europe, North Africa, Middle East, South Asia, Southeast Asia, East Asia and Southwest Pacific.
