About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn some French, improve my Spanish and memorize some Japanese katakana.

ABOUT ME

I graduated in Modern Arts 2004 in Cagliari.
I moved to London after two months.
In London I wanted to study, I wanted to have a career, I wanted to work in the City, I wanted to build a family, but one day I found myself with a toy on my hands and so I started working as toys demonstrator in the biggest toy store of the world . After 4 years I said "time to change" and one day I found myself working in the biggest toys company of the world , where they actually make you play with bricks as a training (and sometimes as a job). I got stuck with toys for almost 5 years.
Then I said Bye to the Queen and moved back to my little island called Sardinia.
I stayed in Sardinia for a while, until one day I woke up in Poland, in Krakow.
I have been living here since 2014 and I work in a corporation and also as graphic artist.
However, I think world is too big and life is too short to stay here all my life. The Queen keeps asking me to come back. I still miss walking around London, thinking about life while walking and listening to music while walking and thinking. Maybe I'll say yes one day.

PHILOSOPHY

Eat shit. Millions of flies can't be wrong.

I'm not religious, but when I look up the sky at night, sometimes, I ask myself: where are you, Superman?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like the real CS thing, which means getting to know the people I host or stay with. I'd never leave the keys of my flat and disappear. Thanks God it paid off, in most cases. Living and spending my time with people from other countries gives me the perfect idea of how the world is different, yet so small. I found myself singing Joe Dassin's "Champs Elysees" with a Canadian, laughing hard for the old Batman TV series with an American guy and watching Friends like there is no tomorrow with a Belgian girl, during a Summer rainy day. I proved some stereotypes wrong. I proved some others right. Some others, I still don't have a clue. I shared my point of view, dinners, drinks, ice-cream and so on. That's reflected on the references I usually get and write. Never a single line, always a sincere, friendly and funny description of the short, but nonetheless interesting and inspiring, stays me and my host/guests happened to live.As a guest, I'm always ready and glad to share common expenses, invite a drink or cook Italian dinner to my hosts. As a host, I'm glad to receive the same little signs of gratitude. This might be obvious for many, and it was for me too, but believe me, a lot of people are really determined to come here and live out of my wallet and my work.

Interests

Lately I've found out a new passion for directing and editing short videos. What came out from that is this video. It's about a day in Cagliari, so you can also use it to plan your first route in the city.
I'm a struggling writer, which means yes, I wrote a novel and no, nobody has published it yet (but they offered me to, which I refused. Jerk). I also like all sort of creative stuff. I move chords on a electric guitar, I stroke canvas with brushes etc.etc. Lately I've been busy inventing a time machine to jump back in time and do all the cool things I lost in the past. Like watching Queen at Wembley in 1986, or witnessing how pyramids were made. Let alone witnessing Jesus and his miracles.
I'm interested in the world and its people. With my job in London I was lucky enough to talk and laugh with men, women, boys, girls, children, especially children, from all over the world. I hope to pay back a visit to all of them.

Music, Movies, and Books

If your movie Bible is IMDB there are good chances we can have some quality time together. I am a movie geek, yes, which means we can either talk a lot about movies or watch one of the 250 DVDs I own. According to my mood I can watch whatever movie is suitable. There is no point to make a top list; that would be this long .I'm also a serial TV addicted. World champion in Friends and Simpsons Simpsons trivial games. Getting there with Lost. Also a huge fan of Scrubs, Dexter, Alias, How I Met Your Mother, Family Guy, Twin Peaks, MacGyver and, oh yes, Murder She Wrote!I listen to everything, from hardcore punk music to cheesy classics. I would say Rancid is my best band ever, but just because of personal memories, their ska roots, a great gig and his frontman. Nofx and Bad Religion are also great, so The Jam, The Clash, Ramones and The Sex Pistols.I love everything classified as Indie Music. The Killers, Arctic Monkeys, Vampire Weekend, The Coral, Franz Ferdinand, The National, The Shins etc.etc.I used to adore Freddie Mercury, now I just happen to visit his home in London once every while. Then, very randomly: Aerosmith, REM, Coldplay, Oasis, Beach Boys, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Garbage, The Hives, Smashing Pumpkins, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ami Di Franco, Jack Johnson, Regina Specktor, John Frusciante, Sigur Ros, Incubus, The Smiths, Skunk Anansie, Pulp, Kings of Convenience, Ben Folds etc.etc.Italian music, of course. Everything. Books>Chuck PalahniukDave EggersDavid SedarisNick NornbyThis is what I read the most. Then everything else.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

VIENNA. The trip was inspired by Before Sunrise, so I wanted to find all the locations. Once there, after half day, I got to live the movie in a snowy and beautiful city. Awesome.
ROME. I met a Japanese girl while queuing for the Cappella Sistina. She approached me in Italian, I answered in Japanese, English was left apart. We visited the Cappella together: world has never seemed so small.
LONDON: I walked along Regent Street with a real size soft kangaroo. I filled the same street with bubbles. I managed to name one LEGO rocketship in the world after me. LEGO LUIGI ROCKETSHIP. Awesome.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
