About Me

CURRENT MISSION

there's a mission?

ABOUT ME

i find it hard to summarize myself in a few line, but for CS i'm gonna try my best!
i'm pretty opnen minded, very tolerant, friendly and curious. i love to travel and i'm very passionate about life, always feel like i'm short of time and there's so much i'd like to do. i'm totally crazy about books and music, and like to experience, learn, read and feel as much as i can throughout life but especially when i'm on the road. a big part of that learning process is the interaction with other people, and it's also the *best* part a lot of the time.

PHILOSOPHY

i've read numerous philosophies i agreed with on this site, and again i find it hard to narrow myself down to a single line. i guess two things come to my mind when i think about it:

1 - all the possession i will accumulate in this world will stay here after i'm gone, but spiritual wealth is really priceless. that is why it's important for me to see, learn, feel, read, understand and experience as much as possible.
2 - life on this planet will be much nicer if people will be kind to one another. i can't control other's behavior but as far as i'm concerned i will try to be a tolerant, compassionate and considerate person as much as i can.

Interests

love life as a whole, but slightly obsessed with music, books, tennis and travelling - not necessarily in that order.

i really like hiking and scuba diving as well. the Red Sea has some of the best diving spots in the world and i intend to check out everyone of them.i also enjoy the theater and spending some quality time with my family and friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

i love books very much. when i'm on a roll it's hard to stop. once or twice i paid the price for that book addiction with physical injuries. to the rear. not a pretty sight.

the place is too short to count my favorite books. maybe i'll just name a few of the last ones i loved:

Cat - Joan D. Vinge
Solaris - Stanislaw Lem
The Slave - Isaac Bashevis Singer
The Plot Against America - Philip Roth
For Whom the Bell Tolls - Hemingway
Circles in a Forest - Dalene Matthee
My Year of Meats - Ruth L. Ozeki
The Ministry of Special Cases - Nathan Englander
The Master and Margarita - Mikhail Bulgakov

ok i feel like im getting caried away with the namedropping so i'll stop...

as for movies - don't watch them as much as i used to but i have my favorite american movie makers nowadays, which are the Nolan Bros (i know they're from UK originally) - i think "Prestige" is one of the best american movies of the decade. i also love Israeli films done in recent years and the british director Ken Loach.
don't have a lot of time for TV but when i do i like Dexter, Simpsons, Seinfeld /Friends, Firefly and British TV.

Music - don't even get me started.
