About Me

Hi, I live in Alphen aan den Rijn and I do a major in Korea Studies in Leiden.

(Information for guests)

Alphen is a middle sized town right in the middle between all major cities in the Netherlands, with good excess to public travel to Leiden, Gouda, Rotterdam, Utrecht, The Hague and Amsterdam, all within less then 1 hour by train or bus. There is a direct bus from Schiphol Airport to my doorstep (5 minute walk). I live on my own in a double room flat in a quiet neighbourhood. Alphen is the perfect starting point if you like to visit multiple cities during your trip (but don't need to spend the night there) and the polder landscape around it can provide some nice Dutch sceneries with farms, grassland and windmills. Alphen itself has a small but cosy centre with shops and some bars, and two amusement parks (a bird park called 'Avifauna' and a history theme park with full scale replica villages from several periods in history called 'Archeon'). If you are looking for a place to stay for the night in this area, just send me a message, I like to be a host and provide others a good stay in my home.

If you can't find a place in Amsterdam and choose me as an alternative, please keep in mind I would not like last minute cancellations in case you would find a place closer to Amstedam last minute. Just make clear to me that I'm not your first choice, I prefer honesty over fake kindness.
