Overview
About Me
I'm Gijs (yes, it really is my name - pronounced as "Kais"), 23 years old from the Netherlands and currently traveling north to south in South America. I've finished a Master's degree in International Management at Tilburg University which is why I am traveling now - postponing having to go to work!
I am very interested in other cultures, which is why I am looking forward to meeting new people!
Ps, to me humor is very important :-D
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Super interested in cultures, and the best way to get to know a culture is to talk to locals, right? Also Couchsurfing is a completely different way to travel than to use hostels - different is good, I like different.
Interests
I love music, I love cultures, I love to laugh, but I like to have a serious conversation as well. Politics is very interesting to talk about. Besides that I am a great beer lover!

Music, Movies, and Books
I produce my own music which is electronic music, but my interest in music goes further than that. I love the music in South America (salsa, reaggaeton). My favorite artist are Alain Clark, Stevie Wonder and Imagine Dragons.
Movies with some *boom boom pow pow* are always good, as are animated movies!
Currently very much into books by Dan Brown!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbing the mountain Huayna Potosi, 6088m high!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Awesome travel stories, a good dosis of humor, respectful towards you and your house, someone to have a nice beer with. Plus, if you give me 1,5 hours and access to your kitchen I can make a great Italian spaghetti bolognese!
