About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Getting to know new people, countries, ideas and cultures

ABOUT ME

I am an enthusiastic guy, filled with ideas, fantasies and who believes in the good of people. I listen to vinyl records, share ideas about my view upon life, like to write (fiction) and play guitar once in a while.
I am a dude that's into going out, just talking for hours about everything and nothing or watching a movie and simply hanging out.

A journey is an adventure for me when I meet and talk to strangers who are open for open conversations. I also like to visit cities to see what (street) art and historic places they have.

PHILOSOPHY

Work to live

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new on CouchSurfing, but I saw there are a lot of local initiatives and I want to be active during these events. I also share my couch and mattress with people. I had some couchsurfers come over to my place a few months ago and this was so much fun I decided to get on CouchSurfing too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No experience yet throughout this site. I did sleep at a lot of couches during my backpacking trip in Australia though. And I've had some couch surfers staying at my place already.

Interests

Live music, culture, communications and I like to cook special meals every now and then. I spend my time working in Breda as a mobile payment specialist and advisor four days a week. Besides that I'm a self employed professional. I like to talk to people about what drives them and what doesn't. I like to talk to strangers, because everone has a story in life worth listening to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen a huge part of Australia during a backpacking trip. The gorges at Karijini National Parc are defenitely worthy of a visit, but don't forget to being three spare tyres. It's a range of gorges caved in the middle of a dessert of a few hundred feet deep. You couldn't imagine so many drinkable water, birds, reptiles and green being there, after driving through a desert for five hours just to get there.

Besides that I was very impressed when visiting Dubai and Abu Dabi. It's amazing to see what money can do to a dessert, transforming it into a city filled with ugly buildings and golden lanterns everywhere.
