ABOUT ME
"Gil? Oh, he's a kinda like a four-year-old in a twenty-something-year-old's body. He likes to include people in what he does and brings together friends from all of his circles. His house smells of black tea and there is always something on the stove. If you have a spare moment, you may be asked on some type of wild adventure into an unknown part of town or the countryside. Just don't go anywhere with him that has water because before you know it, he is down to his boxers and swimming no matter the season. Well, I guess that's not a bad thing at all.."
PHILOSOPHY
Live it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like to offer CSers a warm and comfortable environment to rest while they do whatever they came to this place to do.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My favorite experience was with a fine gentleman in an amazing corner of the world called Petra, Jordan. A year after my visit with Ghassab, CNN did a feature article on him and his couchsurfing. I did not know the extent of his hospitality at the time. This is worth a read.

Other than that, I have been by a few people in the Northeast for short visits. All of my experiences have been positive.
Interests
I am interested in what people have to say. Folks often say things that stick with me.
I also like jokes and irony. Give me your best shot...I find almost everything funny.

Music, Movies, and Books
The Cat Empire lights my fire. I judge all other art by that standard.
I like the Tallest Man on Earth's soul and the First Aid Kit kills me with their two part harmonies.
I would like to read at least half of the books by James Michener by the year's end and hope to be smart enough to appreciate Hemingway by the time I die.
I also like standup comedy. Gabriel Iglasias and Louis CK make the top of the list.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once mooned a guy. It turned out that he was a werewolf. That was a long night...
Teach, Learn, Share
I know how to make cheese. Mozzarella, Swiss, Cheddar, Gouda.
Anyone ever had Halloumi? Its a cheese to live for!
If you would like to learn, I'm game.
