About Me

I'm a college student who is looking to learn more about the world. I never traveled when I was younger, but studying abroad in France this year has really given me the travel bug.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because the best stories I want to tell when I get back home won't be about the food I ate, the monuments I saw or the classes I took (all great and amazing things) but instead about the people I met. There's something about finding friendship with people who don't necessarily share the same customs or ways of thinking that is honestly magical.

Interests

I enjoy writing short stories, novels and poetry. Conversations about any of those topics have me talking for hours. It sounds corny, but I enjoy learning about people, the way they live, the things that interest them. It's probably one of the reasons I chose anthropology as my major.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite books have to be the Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones) series by George RR Martin. It is also one of my favorite TV shows. Other TV shows I have enjoyed include: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Downton Abbey, The White Queen, Sense 8, Lost Girl.

My favorite movie is The Lord of the Rings trilogy. It has the world-spanning epicness I can't help but love.

And kind of embarrassing to admit but my favorite artist is Taylor Swift. Other than that, I like indie folk and other acoustic things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I wrote a novel in a month with NaNoWriMo. It's a lot more fun and difficult than it sounds.

Teach, Learn, Share

Need to brush up on your English or French? I can help you out with that, as long as your French isn't very advanced, since I'm still learning. I have been told I can tell funny stories, so that should count for something, right?

What I Can Share with Hosts

Conversation and a cheery demeanor. I'd also be happy to tell you all about the cultures I'm a part of, Mexican and American.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Mexico, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In

France, United States
