About Me

I currently live in Bremen and study music. My instrument is the recorder, and I have the most interest in very old music (for example before 1400). I have been hosted by many people who helped me out SO MUCH in my process of getting to know Germany and the people who live here, taking entrance tests for music universities across Europe, enjoying beautiful adventures and creating memories. Now I am trying to give back some of what was offered to me.

Besides being a musician I'm also a Jungian analyst. I've done that for 3 years and I know quite a lot about it. People tend to enjoy it when I interpret their dreams.

I always read profiles and write personal references. I will never ask to stay with you if not because of your personal characteristics that make you unique.

I am very open for new experiences, which is why I couchsurf, and I'm very much interested in getting to know people beyond their surface.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

On the beginning of 2016 I have traveled through Europe for 6 weeks staying almost only with couchsurfing hosts, after living in Kassel for 6 weeks. It was the best thing I've done, and my experience with my couchsurfing hosts has really improved who I am as a person. I still talk to and miss many of them. I was never able to host anyone because I currently live with my family, but I'm always looking for nice people to share a good time with.

Interests

I am most interested in music (I play recorder quite well), philosophy, getting to know different cultures, history, beauty, art in general, even though I appreciate mostly painting and literature. I love folklore in general and also everything baroque, medieval and Renaissance.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love early (baroque and older) and traditional music. I also like many other styles - as long as there's a good melodic line and a good voice, I'm in. Some of my favourite bands are:

Sigur Rós, Nana Grizol, Cocteau Twins, Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell, Joanna Newsom, Cocorosie, Regina Spektor, Tetê Espíndola, Kate Bush, Queen...

About movies: I like particularly movies that take place in older times and teen movies. And any movie that celebrates beauty.

About books: I haven't read much these past two years, although I used to be a bookworm. My favourite authors are Kawabata, Tanizaki, Mishima, Chesterton, Goethe, Wilde, among others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've become a psychotherapist and during my path experienced deep relationships which were not in the least about me. I've also learned how not to be a therapist after that, which was harder than becoming one.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach about the things I have listed above and am eager to learn more about them. Sharing general culture must be one of my favourite activities. I can do some painting and cooking, besides playing recorder. We can sing songs, do some gardening (I'm quite good with plants, which we call a "green finger" in Portuguese) and discuss all things beautiful and ugly.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can play some music together, exchange tips about books and artists, I can cook you something brazilian and teach you something in portuguese. I think that what a person has to offer hangs a lot upon whom they're offering it to.
