ABOUT ME

I study, play capoeira, and enjoy life. I love sandwiches and ice cream more than most things in this world. My dog, bobo, misses me everytime I leave the house, but I still go outside. I am a student who hopes to graduate soon, but for now I am making the most of life in neverland.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm couch surfing, so what's there to complain about?

Capoeira, music, movies, cachapas, reading, and more... The things that I am most involved with at the moment are finishing my dissertation and Grupo Capoeira Brasil here in Durham, NC. Things that fall outside of that category get a little less attention, but they are not necessarily less interesting to me.

Music: I'm on a Tim Maia thing that I just cant kick right now (do you know who he is?).
Movies: I binge on movies, and I tend to like most that I can sit through (any movie over 2hrs is too long).

I temporarily overcame my fear of heights during a summer of trekking up canyons in the US southwest. Going up was never a problem, but getting down made my heart jump. I know for most people this doesn't seem so amazing, but it was great to find comfort in an experience, and really appreciate it even though it would have been torture weeks ago is pretty good, right?

I'm interested in learning just about anything as long as I encounter the right teacher. I have taught english, anthropology, and capoeira.
