I love meeting new people. That is one of the main reasons why I travel, and why I travel alone. I try to get to know locals wherever I go in a never-ending effort to broaden my views on this world we live in.

I'm also eager to try all kinds of new things. I often ask other people to decide for me what I should try or do. This can go either way of course, from chicken feet to mouth-watering katsu chicken.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I read how Couch surfing has lost some of its reputation as being a place for cultural exchange, how a lot of people now abuse it to score free accomodation.

I want to try and embody the values of that old community.

Interests

The easier choice would have been to describe my non-interests. I'm open for anything but karaoke and clubs. Unless I out on some serious beer goggles.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all kinds of music but I have a particular love for indie and alternative songs.

My favourite genres of books are fantasy and old classics. And since I started traveling by myself my time spent reading has increased dramatically.

Regarding movies, my preferences are very similar to my reading preferences. On top of that, I'm a big sucker for anything Disney or Pixar.

I once threw a rock on my twin brother's head and got my older (not twin) brother a harsher punishment.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love sharing stories. I'm pretty talkative and extraverted by nature, so I won't be a ghost in the room.

Also, I was a waiter for 4 years so I have a tendency to clean up after myself, and clean up other people's stuff as well. Oh, and if you don't trust my cooking skills, dinner's on me of course.
