ABOUT ME

I am Gunilla a swedish speaking finn, live with my boyfriend Matts Isuls on the countryside in the western part of Finland. We both work full time in Uusikaarlepyy / Vaasa. Gunilla is head of accounting in Uusikarlebyy city and Matts is a software speciallist for National Land Survey of Finland.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We heard about CS in summer 2009 and decided to try. We surf and host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have couchsurfing in Europe summer 2009, in Sweden 2010, 2013 and in India 2012, unfortunately we have not had the opportunity to host yet.

Interesses

At the moment almost all our time goes to renovating our summerhouse and Sauna, Matts does most of the work himself and Gunilla bosses him around.

Gunilla started playing amateur theatre in 1993 and still participates every year in the home village winter comedy play. Gunilla has been a member of Rotary International since 2006.

Matts has done much of renovating lately on our country house and also at our apparment. He owns a few motorcycles that he likes to service and ride. Movies and tv-series are also of interrest.

Other interests are: traveling ( we try to go away 3-4 times per year), going to theater, motorcyckles and a lot of other things that make life good.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

Gunilla: Listening to radio is my favourite, I like to hear news :) I really like music made of Roxette, Gyllene Tider and Tomas Ledin. All from Sweden!

Matts: I like movies that are a bit different but also the big american blockbusters. Movies that made an impression are for example Donnie Darko, Lars von Trier films, Tron Legacy. Great TV-series are Breaking Bad, Twin Peaks, Deadwood. Good rock bands are Isis, Neurosis and Tool.

Gunilla: I have visited many amazing places and people. Our summerhouse is one of the places I like most right now!

Matts: Drove to south of Germany and back again on my Yamaha TW125. 2800 km in seven days with a sore behind and Gunilla on the seat behind me.
