About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My current mission is to survive tour with all of my body parts still intact and minimal bruising. You think I'm kidding...
ABOUT ME
I'm currently on tour with Cats - coming to a mid-sized town near you. I'm a roadie, and therefore work my butt off. When I'm not working, I love taking it all in. I've been to some amazing, amazing places and love meeting new folks and seeing how they live their lives.
I love local foods, music, architecture and whatever other festivities are going down!
PHILOSOPHY
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm from Chicago, and settling in either Atlantic Canada or Lafayette, LA (I know, it's a long story), you are welcome to stay with me whenever I can have you.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm currently on the road and surfing as much as possible. I'm kind of addicted! It's so great to be able to find people you think are interesting and then meet them!
Crazy concept, right?
In any case, I'm doing a lot of surfing now, but I can't wait until I'm actually able to host.
Interests
I love local music scenes - esp. traditional local music! I love social dancing (salsa and tango), great food, and good conversation.
I also enjoy museums, historical sites and nature. I am fascinated by how people lived 200 years ago. I'm a big costume dork and will always check out whatever textile-y exhibits are around.
I'm on the calm and quiet side (probably because my life is kinda over-stimulating these days) and would prefer a quiet night to loud clubbing, generally (though once in a while, I'm unstoppable).
I also am into Chinese language - I've studied it for a long time, though I still totally suck at it. I think Chinese characters are fascinating and present a whole new way of looking at words.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all horror and scifi films. I'm a huge world music lover - especially Cajun and African music lately. Basically, I'm a huge dork.
I recently watched War/Dance, which knocked my socks off. I also loved The Visitor and am addicted to Battlestar Galactica.
I loved "The Corrections", anything by John Steinbeck, and books about stupid guys almost getting killed in the wilderness.. is that a genre?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Working nine 18-hour days in a row, with a 22-hour day in the middle, and keeping my head straight the entire time while on tour.
I loved seeing home-made license plates on Fanning Island, Kiribati.
Also - a "Taco in a Bag" - from the concession stand of the Bismarck, ND Civic Center, consisting of a bag of Doritos with taco meat, shredded cheese and hot sauce. Pretty amazing... especially the smell from 50 feet away.
Designing monster costumes for a horror movie currently in the Walmart bargain bin and shown late-night on the Sci Fi Network. My parents are so proud. Ha.
