Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Always I travel alone with my Caterpillar shoes and my big backbag, I think the best way to meet people, understand something about one culture, one society, one civilisation and discover the country is by couch surfing.

In France, we have an culture of good food and good wine that we share with other people who want discover this strange country of "froogies" like the Bristish says. So a guest becomes automatically, not the king of the house but a part of the family. In France, we love to kill the kings :) Oh French funny guys ...

Anyway, I just register so I haven't been able to participate really yet but I have frequently host friends and acquaintances

Interests

I spend most of my time thinking about the world and try to understand it. I have specific way to see the world and I try to find my place in this world.

I am International Relations and International Law student, make an year break for go outside from the library, from the books for see the world with my eyes and try to analyse that I can see, hear, smell, understand and make links. I love my life of learning, of meeting, of discovering.

I persuade that meeting new people from different culture, different continents make me very lucky and help me to grow up.

So I study, I love read and write letters and postal cards to my friends to explain that I see with my eyes when the time and the energy are given to me.

I am interest about absolutely everything, I believe that we have always something to learn or discover.

My favorite books are mostly those of my studies (Geopolitics, History, International relations, Law, ...) and science fiction, fantastic, French Literature, travel books... I am passionned by history and any place of signifiance related to our past. I wish I could explore all of them and I really want to go to Istanbul, Rome, Beijing, Jerusalem, Ninive, Babylon, Rome, Cairo, Athens, ... I am also very interested by more modern cities such as New York, London, Moscow, Tokyo, Sydney, Berlin, Stockholm, Sao Paulo ...

I love music and it is very difficult to say what is my favorite music. I am a real fan of music and I hear a lot of different genre from classical to rap or rock § roll, jazz, blues.

I am a great fan of cinema from every country. I have an specific preference for old French movie so specially Michel Audiard movies. But, always I am happy to discover an other things and a new movie.
With cinema, I am a passionate guy because I come from Lyon, the city of Lumière brother.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every trip is an adventure ! Like Nicolas Bouvier says "we believe to make a travel, but the travel makes you".

After six months of internship in Qatar, I cross alone Iran during two months just for discover the country and an other way of life. It was an very amazing and exciting to feel a real travel and to see very different things from my old Europe. Every day was an day of discoveries !

Among my travel, the most amazing things was to drive an motorcycle in Ispahan street in Iran, with a so crazy traffic. It is very crazy to imagine this.
In Iran too, I stay during three hours in a Taxi with an Mollah student and two shiite iraki guys who are in the milice and fight ISIS. A very strange and delicate situation what I can just live in Iran.
I drink a bear in Qatar, just near the border with Saudi Arabia and I feel a great pleasure to make this.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My place, my knowledges, my theories, my travel stories, my strange French food, my interests, my thoughts and a lot of topics that you can't imagine. I am a passionate guy.
