About Me

I'm a friendly, adventurous guy who's trying to see as many interesting places in the world as possible. I'm very open and accepting of everyone and love meeting new people and hearing their stories. Not afraid to go off the beaten track, I'm very spontaneous and always look to explore. I like to out to bars and experience the city, but also happy to chill with anyone I'm hosting/staying with. I don't take myself too seriously and am always up for a laugh.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Whilst studying abroad in the USA I met some couch surfers, who turned out to be the coolest people I'd ever met. I got the travel bug from them and am determined to discover the world and meet people from all over and hear their stories.

Interests

I enjoy going out and socialising with the people I'm staying with. Equally I'm more than happy to chill and watch a movie with them. I love cooking and will always try and cook for whoever is hosting me. Learning about new and different styles of cooking is one of my favourite things to do and is reflected by my ever expanding spice cupboard at home!

I can be very independent whilst travelling, so am more than happy to explore the streets and see the sites of any city I'm visiting.

I've been camping in the same place every year since I was four years old. I've grown up very connected to nature and the outdoors and love nothing more than sitting around the campfire with a few beers and some good stories.

I follow both football (soccer) and rugby very keenly. I love watching live music and like checking out local artists in places I visit.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to all types of music, from hip-hop to classic English punk rock. The Clash are a great band, but Bob Dylan is probably my favourite artist, narrowly edging out Bob Marley. Also enjoy house music and electro-swing, Parov Stelar being a particular favourite!
I try and see some live music in every city I visit, live jazz is the best type to just wonder into a bar to listen to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One night I ended up drinking all night until my flight to Greece at 6am. I woke up with a hangover in the scorching Greek heat. Would definitely recommend it!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a passion for languages and am eager to learn more about the languages I've studied and others I haven't!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer a sincere friendship to anyone I stay with. I am in regular contact with my first host and staying with him in Philadelphia really inspired me to couch surf throughout the world and host all sorts of interesting people when I go back to England.

Most importantly, I'm always happy to share a cup of tea with my host.
