About Me

I'm a really easy going chatty person, always up for doing things... laughing, chatting, hiking, going on random journeys, having a few drinks, going to festivals, trying new food etc. I absolutely love travelling since I first went to Germany when I was 16, I've been traveling every year since, usually at least twice a year. I've lived in different parts of the world and I love meeting people from all over. But you don't have to go too far to see beautiful places, do amazing things and meet lovely people, Ireland has all that too and I love wandering around my own country and meeting people.

I love listening to music, mainly instrumental, ambient electronic but totally love old school 70/80s too.. New order are one of my favorite groups. I try and go to gigs and festivals as often as I can. I love reading too, fiction and non fiction, totally got wrapped up in GRR Martin's books, love the game of thrones series too. I try and play a lot of sport too, tennis, badminton, swimming... Ahm so ya not much else
except I can't wait to meet whoever's around :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people from all over the world and continue my travels via them. To show people my country, I'm an archaeologist and a tour guide so I've loads to tell.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Decided to go to South Korea to live and three weeks later I was there and stayed for a year and a half, unbelievable country and people.

Rode bare back (horse) in Mongolia in the middle of nowhere to a stream where we fished for the day and then made a camp fire, cooked the fish and invited locals and chatted and sang under the amazing Mongolian sky.

Took myself out of my comfort zone in China and travelled by myself for two weeks to an area where there were no tourists, only locals, to visit an amazing national park and beautiful surrounding towns... Got stared at, touched and followed numerous times but all worth it.

Thought I was going to be kidnapped/killed traveling solo through the desert in Peru only to end up having a drink with the guy later that evening, a big misunderstanding :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show people around the limerick/ Killaloe area, I know lots of hidden spots, off the beaten track. I can tell you all about our country's amazing archaeology if you want or we can just hang out and enjoy the local cafes/pubs. I can teach you irish, English, french, German, Italian and even some Korean.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you irish, English, french, German, Italian and even some Korean. I've loads of travel stories, when you travel solo loads of mad things tend to happen :) I can teach you a few card games or tell you some irish myths or bore you about archaeology ;)
