About Me
I enjoy my life , the good the bad , the odd ... i cherish all the experiences this journey has taken me on so far . I love travelling and exploring , as a gather most people do on couch surfing :) . I started by travelling to Bali with my best friend in 2009 , then the Wanderlust bug big bit me and every year I travel to a new location . My motto quickly became SEE THE WORLD , EMBRACE THE CULTURE and MEET THE PEOPLE .
I'm friendly and fairly sociable . I do enjoy my personal time and often can be found lounging with a book and a glass of wine , though lately its been alot of various teas . I practise mindfulness in as many aspects of my life , i feel it its important o be grateful for the life we have been given and to use it wisely .Working in aged care for 11 years , I've been able to see people at the end of their lives and the stories about what they regretted and didn't , has been an inspiration for me . I want to be able to say I did everything I dreamed of
My parents raised me to be mindful and respectful of my space and my presence in others . So when it comes to other people's houses ,I treat their space as if was my own . Being a neat person , I like to keep myself organised but when I travel and have been able to stay with others .. I see it as visiting them and not their homes .
I look forward to having a nice place to stay , it just adds experience and so far with air bnbs I've stayed in wonderful places , but want try something different , so couch surfing was it for me . Its a bit of a challenge for me because i don't want my host to feel I'm taking advantage . Though I can say Im happy to cook a nice meal for all in the home , if you would be keen . At the moment Im backpacking through the uk /Europe and a nice place to stay makes all the difference
My life motto is : Feel the Fear and Do it anyways . After working as a palliative nurse for 10 years , I know i only get one chance and I need to make the most of it .
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Basically meet people who know their towns and have recommenations . I'm a traveller and spending my nights in hotels just didn't appeal . Also at 31 .. the hostel life isn't my thing anymore . Couch surfing came highly recommended and I though I would give it a go .

Teach, Learn, Share
At the moment , Im actually taking my younger female cousins with me on my journeys . Most of them have never left the United Kingdom and Id like to inspire them to challenge themselves with seeing the world .
Admittedly for them the prospect of getting on a plane alone and getting through customs has been intimidating but they have done so well just get that far . Im so very proud of them for giving it a go and I hope their lives are enriched because of it
What I Can Share with Hosts
I think my easy going nature and my willingness to try most things suggested to me . I think that anyone who shares my travel motto , Im happy to share comfort food , stories and i would 100 % love to hear other peoples stories :)
