ABOUT ME
grew up in a college town in illinois, usa, went to college there, then moved to austria and worked at an art + technology center. i'm a "computer person" as they say, but the things i do with computers might surprise you. or at least make you smile.
PHILOSOPHY
an english friend of mine once told me "you gotta keep movin dave, you gotta keep movin". in an english accent. i think he is on to something.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
i hosted a guy from bremen once. he was reading a comic book about fractal mathematics or something. that was fun. and sometimes i spam lots of people cuz i wanna sleep somewhere. didn't get so many requests in my little european home of linz, austria, except around the first week of september when linz becomes the stomping ground of an international cyber arts festival. now i'm in atlanta, the Big City! bring em on.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
one guy was applying for a photography masters program and he took a bunch of photos of my friend and i throwing a disc, with his 5D Mk II and huge telephoto lens. good times. and once i was with a friend in san francisco, and we hosted a dude from tokyo who danced the fresno, and we road tripped all together to LA and had a grand old time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
made a web browser in which you have to swim to navigate the web. like surfing the web, except swimming it. like with your actual arms -- it works your lats.
Teach, Learn, Share
if 27 people are in a room, chances are two of them have the same birthday. also, diet coke has more than zero calories, even though the can says it has zero calories! but don't get the wrong idea, i don't really drink soda.
