About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Getting settled in my new home and meeting great people.
ABOUT ME
I just finished Grad School in Germany and had the opportunity to make a life-long dream come true and move to the US. I ended up in Chicago - a place I've never been to, didn't really know anything about, and fell immediately in love with.
I'm still exploring the city and its neighborhoods. I love to meet great people and Chicago seems to be full of them.
I think Couchsurfing is a great way to get to know people and the places where they live.
PHILOSOPHY
I want to meet great people and see great places. Ideally, I can even combine the two. But unfortunately, I'm also working a lot so I don't have much time for either of the two – I guess life is all about compromises and a continuous search for the sweet spot.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have surfed many couches and also hosted people. I didn't keep in touch with everyone but I have also met some of the most interesting people through Couchsurfing that I am happy to call my friends.
Interests
I love being active. I do all kinds of sports; I'm not outstandingly good at anything but I'm down for everything from hiking and kayaking to playing football or soccer. I always wanted to run a Marathon and I've gotten close but have yet to check that off my list of things I definitely need to do.
I also love music, I play the piano and I kind of want to teach myself how to play bass guitar - admittedly I haven't even bought one, yet. One day, though…

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After I finished Grad School, I packed up my bags and moved to America. I still really can't believe I did that. And while I'm not sure whether it was a good idea, I definitely think it's amazing that I actually got myself to do it.
