About Me

A dutch Belgian on a quest to expand her normal. With a heart for culture and languages, with an eye on the future.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In every country I go I try to meet with inhabitants to learn all about the local culture, the way of living and the values. If therefore I miss some 'must-visit' tourist attractions, it is more than worth it. This is why I travel :)

1 year ago I would never have thought I would do this, but my experience in Dubai and Oceania has been incredible. I've met amazingly kindhearted people, and I came to fall in love the Arab culture. In every gulf country I visited so far, I left a small piece of my heart; Oman, Bahrein, Saudi Arabia and every single emirate of the UAE.

I'm really excited that I have the opportunity of exploring different cultures and countries. I would love to meet locals and fellow travelers to explore and experience the local ways and values. We're always up for an adventure, cosy evenings, sharing food, ect.

Find my instagram if you'd like to learn more about me and my travels 😋

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

From Februari to March I did a 2 month trip through the middle east. We explored Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Palestine and other countries. This was an amazing experience. The people, the food, the overall culture. Very grateful.

From September to December '22 I traveled through 7 small countries in Oceania: Tonga, Samoa, Vanuatu, ect. I met so many lovely locals and stayed with amazing people. I learned so much about the daily life and history. I couldn't be more grateful for the experiences I had. The culture, people, animals, traditions. Beautiful.

While I was working at expo 2020 in Dubai, I went on a spontaneous trip from the UAE to Oman with 1 friend. We crossed the country border by foot, which apparently hadn't happen before. It was an interesting start of an even more interesting trip haha. But in the end everything worked out fine; we've met the kindest people ánd have fascinating stories about it!
