Gypsy hearted business minded. Passionate dancer (not professional, just for fun). I have spent the past 5 years learning how to Swing Dance, specifically Balboa, Blues and West Coast Swing. Now I'm crazy about Contact Improv and Fusion. These dances have opened me up to a vulnerability, openness and trust that seems to make life worth living. Then the crossover in to real life is a nice after affect.
I live a simple life in Summerland, spending over 50% of my life on the road.
I'm one of those who believes that we are in control of our happiness no matter what! So thankful to have learned this at an early age and to be able to continue to continue to cultivate it along this windy road of life.
I just started doing Acro Yoga in the park!
I'm not so good at superficial chit chat. I'm the one who will instagate a deep conversation the some may find uncomfortable. For me this is life, transparancy, its raw and beautiful!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I stated sharing hotel rooms at dance events and ended up meeting some of my favorite people who I now share my life with.
I travel extensively so I figure why not take time connect with others along the way.
I enjoy keeping it simple and easy.
I'm in my element walking the streets of a new town with no agenda, no car, no time frame. Then maybe a coffee shop with my journal.
I have offered our homes on Air bnb and enjoyed meeting the different folks.
The dance world has opened up many opportunities to connect with other dancers as we offer our homes to eachother. Its been great and I look forward to expand the concept.

Interests

I love to cook. My specialty is whipping something up with what you already have in the house. Especially if it is the healthy stuff! I'm a minimalist intrigued with living with less and less in order to spend more time connecting with others.
Dancing and movement especially in partnership. The connection and conversation that happens between two people all with out words is beautiful. When you find that moment where trust and vulnerability come in to play its magical.
I enjoy taking a conversation deeper, I warned you ;). That said you can always say no.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had the opportunity once to connect 8 local artists (paying them $50.00 per hour), our local at risk youth and PAL (police academy league's $). I did all this with in our local teen center to provide free classes to our youth.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook esp. with whats already in your kitchen. Healthy stuff. You can put me to work. It comes natural for me to jump in and help, clean, errands, etc.
I have been cutting hair since High School. Now that I'm semi retired I'm happy to give hair cuts when I'm not at work. Just let me know and I will bring my scissors.
