About Me

Hi y'all! I'm an American currently living in Munich and working as a live-in nanny. I graduated with my BA last year, and am taking this year to travel and learn German. I'm very relaxed, outgoing, and open-minded. I love good beer, wine, and food.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I've done the whole tourist thing in a lot of different places and much prefer getting to know a city like I know my hometown. Hidden cafes and coffee shops, dive bars, and secret rooftop parties are my jams and as someone who is consistently referred to as a "good time," I'm always down for a joke or two to be made about America on my behalf. I don't take myself too seriously and can handle being made the brunt of a joke, so fire away with the insults about American ignorance.

Interests

I love reading, writing, fantastic conversations, pretty much anything that has Bill Murray in it, becoming an instant fan of whatever sports team is in town, great food, live music, and obviously traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

My musical tastes range from Led Zeppelin to Beyonce. I mostly listen to hip-hop (Kendrick Lamar, Drake, J. Cole, Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, Lauryn Hill, Wale) and rock and alternative (Alt-J, Alabama Shakes, Nirvana, Jack White, Velvet Underground, The Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin) and am always open to suggestions. I love a really wide and strange range of movies. On any given night, I can be found watching a Wes Anderson, Terrence Malick, or Nora Ephron film. Some of my all time favorites are "The Thin Red Line," "Beasts of the Southern Wild," "Children of Men," "Pride and Prejudice," and "Casablanca." You'll literally never find me without a book, but can never really pin point my favorite. Right now I'm reading "On Beauty" by Zadie Smith and "Cinema II" by Gilles Deleuze.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once wrote a twenty page paper on the music videos of the one and only Beyonce. TRUE STORY
