About Me

Hello beautiful creatures!

Well, I've lived a wild old life and had the privilege of many incredible experiences, I'm happy to tell you a few stories but tell me your adventures too!

Naturally I love to travel and meet new people - I spend every summer hitchhiking and enjoying festivals and making new friends everywhere, I spend my time teaching, learning, climbing trees, living free and loving life.

This summer I spent a week in the wild, camping, lake, river and waterfall swimming and hiking over mountains in North Wales (and climbed up Mount Snowdon with 18k on my back!), then I caught the ferry over to Ireland and spent time hitchhiking from Dublin to Galway, explored Connemara and hitched North and around Northern Ireland too. It was one of my favourite adventures so far!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To learn from, share stories with and encourage fellow adventurers.
To make more friends with drifters, storytellers, music makers, activists, humans, animals and kindly creatures.
To be a part of a kind world that shares everything.

Interests

I am a life explorer, experience architect and curiosity advocate.

--- Something important you ought to know about my little studio;
it is incredibly small, everything (shower, kitchen, bed) inside one room.
This is relevant because the only bed I can offer is a pull-out bed right next to my own bed, for this reason I turn down most solitary male travelers - but not all and if you're desperate for a place then I will try to accommodate you.

I have no access to internet in my place, but there is free wifi all over Paris and a library on my street where you can hang out and go online.

Just to check you've read and understood all of the above please use the word 'potato' in your message to me ;)

Also I'm moving out in June so won't be able to host for a while, it was fun while it lasted!

Music, Movies, and Books

Ever changing and totally dependent on my feelings that day!

I'm a lover of old blues, Cab Calloway's version of St James Infirmary breaks my heart. Can't go wrong with Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, Bessie Smith. I'm not stuck in the blues though, 80's classic A-ha's Take On Me will always get me dancing!

I read a lot, every book changes my life for the better. Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance is incredible. Recommend me your favourite!

Movies, well, from Nosferatu to Fury Road, I've seen a few, still probably most fond of my childhood favourites, Hook and the Goonies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swam in many different seas, in mountain lakes, jumped down waterfalls, drank from streams and rivers, hiked through jungles, climbed mountains, swam with elephants and met an incredible spectrum of humanity that has filled me with faith that we live in a beautiful world worth sharing and caring about!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm an English teacher so I could help a little if you struggle with any aspect of English as a second language.

Let's teach each other all we know then go out in the world with fresh new seeds to sew
