About Me

CURRENT MISSION

trying to find a balance

ABOUT ME

I take pleasure in the little things in life without losing sight of the big picture, for example, a cup of coffee, a fresh clean t-shirt, the beach, a sunset, I'm not too difficult to please. So many of these things we take for granted. I'm a pretty goofy individual, down to earth, although I do like to do girly things too like put on make up and dress up to go out on occasion. Although this is true, I've never been able to wear heels successfully.

Sometimes I think beer is my downfall, but lately I've come to appreciate wine and the different glasses used for white and red. My favorite thing in the world is laughter and in a close second comes nostalgia. These two things directly contribute to my good long term memory. Ironically, I am the biggest scatter brain on the planet- I lose my keys, cell phone or sunglasses on a daily basis. I can appreciate tasteful sarcasm- and quite often, crude sarcasm as well. I value the little things, a cup of tea made for me in the morning or a nice note...They make a big difference. I'm a very random person- that's not the greatest quality about me, but I do enjoy making others smile and laugh.

PHILOSOPHY

My primary goal in life is to have complete happiness. True happiness that is within me; that possesses no false motives. Pure, fresh, genuine, earnest, simple- the best kind of happiness. To breathe fresh air, watch a sun set or rise, laugh until the point of tears, participate in life by loving others and being loved in return-to live- with these aspects and so many more- is to know what life is all about- with tranquility and ultimately, happiness. I'm on my way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I appreciate new and different cultures and how they enrich my life- to see how others live. I participate by attending as many events as I can, and by sharing and listening to stories from across the globe!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I lived in Seville for six months, where I had my first couchsurfing experiences. I attended weekly meetings at a hostel, where I made several connections. I couch surfed in Madrid, Bilbao and Malaga.
I've met with couchsurfers in Minneapolis for a drink/party time.
I met two of my greatest friends in Minneapolis through CS!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Camino de Santiago is the best thing I've ever done in my life. It's a hike that starts in Southern France and ends in the Northwestern corner of Spain.

Teach, Learn, Share

The most inspirational piece of advice I received from a fellow couch surfer was, "to be shy, is to waste time". I've carried this with me since my return to the US.
