I'm a journalist, from the states originally and now living in Brussels to report on the European Union. I love travel and want to explore areas of Europe that are unfamiliar to me, especially by meeting locals and sharing stories :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like seeing the real side of cities or countries when I'm traveling, and connecting with locals. I've found couchsurfing to be a great way to do that!

Interests

I love to read, meet interesting people, and play and listen to music. Some favorite things to do in new places are find live music, wander around art museums and get lost in a city.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like folk and Americana music, and indie rock. have recently started listening to the blues a lot, and I'm starting to enjoy jazz more, especially when I can see it live!
Books: I've always loved Russian literature (Anna Karenina is a favorite) but also can't get enough of classic American writers (East of Eden by Steinbeck, Great Gatsby by Fitzgerald, and anything by Hemingway).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have glacier climbed on two different continents -- once in Alaska and once in Iceland!
