About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Urban Farmer
ABOUT ME
I consider myself an Urban Gardener. I have one community garden spot across from my work and the garden at home. We also have 4 laying chickens in our backyard.
Fittingly the house I live in is called The Barn. Its a communal house where we share food and house repairs and expenses. Out back, we have a homemade pizza oven which allows us to throw great dinner parties!
I also really love my bike. For two years I've been the volunteer coordinator for the Car Free Festival that is thrown on Commercial Drive every year. A festival that is completely volunteer run and has no corporate sponsors! wooo hooooo
Recently I've become the Community Liaison for the City's Street Closures called Summer Spaces.
On weekends I'm usually out biking around one of the small islands off the coast of BC. Lately I've been joining larger bike rides and races.
PHILOSOPHY
Everything will be alright....don't worry
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
With my last housemate, Keith, we hosted quite a few people in the span of one year. Many of them I still keep in contact with. I tell everyone about CS and highly recommend it over hostels.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My favorite couch surfing experience has to be when Michael came to stay with us. I often think back to then and feel like he was a roommate more than some random bike guy sleeping on our futon.
