We travelled a lot when we were younger an now we try to teach our three children the fascination and love for foreign cultures and their delicious food.
So when we are not able to travel we love to cook food from all over the world at home. And when we travel, we want to try all the local food as well as local craft beer!

We are not so much into classical sightseeing, we prefer to immerse ourselves in everyday life of local neighborhoods. Although, we are still very much into science museums and zoos. We try to get in contact with local people and learn about their culture and their way of life. Beeing a travelling familiy with children, we are interested in the education system and how children ar raised. And beeing a doctor, I am interested in the health system of different countries and cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

On our trip around the world, we were disappointed in how little contact with local people you get when you stay in the tourist bubble. That was when we joined Couchsurfing, and because of that we had many great encounters with amazing people.

Interests

We both have been Boyscouts for many years, so we still love beeing outdoors in the nature. We enjoy camping and hiking. We are interested in science and nature, so while traveling we visit a lot of zoos and museums. But we are also very much interested in pop culture and contemporary history.
Our social time is cooking together and we really love trying new recipes from all over the world.
Oh yes, and we are very much into craft beer!
